Mark your calendars now as the SVA embarks on a new adventure.  The board accepted an opportunity to host the Arizona Summer Bash on August 31st at the Embassy Suites located at the southwest corner of US60 and Rural Road. 

While we are not hosting a Division or District contest (yet), this is a good way to learn about hosting bigger events.  In addition to acquiring these skill, a big benefit is this will be a fund raiser for the SVA.

Since we will need “all hands on deck”😊 please mark your calendars to be at the Bash starting early afternoon August 31st. I’ve asked a number of people to organize several areas of the bash and they will be looking for people to help out. More on the specifics as they become available, but as an example, Tina will be organizing a schedule to staff the registration desk, and Scott is responsible for the risers.  

The more people in attendance, the more money we make.  Therefore marketing will be critical to our success and we need a marketing coordinator to get the word out and increase attendance. While I’ve sent an initial flyer and email message to fourteen Arizona barbershop choruses, more marketing is critical. Social media will be the primary target, but business cards, and visiting local chapters in person (Curt will visit each chorus in the coming weeks).

Our goal is to make the Arizona Bash the premier Arizona barbershop party of the year! Let’s have SVA lead the way!!!
